God’s Plan of Salvation
Do you ever think about death?
Is there life after death?
Are you going to Heaven or Hell?
Most people that you ask these questions to
will say that they “think” they are going to heaven. The bible
teaches us that we don’t have to think, but rather we can KNOW!
First, we must accept that no matter how
good we may appear before other men, when we are placed in God’s
standards (represented by the Ten Commandments) we are not good
enough to go to heaven on our works. The bible says if we are guilty
of one commandment we are guilty of them all. (James 2:10)
Romans 3:23
23) For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God;
Unfortunately since the Garden of Eden
there has been a death penalty for sin.
Romans 6:23a
23a) For the wages of sin is death;…
The good news is that God made a plan
through his son Jesus Christ so we would be able to go to heaven.
In fact you may hear the church term “saved”. This is literally
meant to say that we have been “saved from hell” through the blood
of Christ.
Romans 6:23b
23b) …but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
While we may not be good enough, and we may
have made many mistakes, God still loves us!
Romans 5:8
8) But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
We must humble ourselves before God and
pray to ask him to forgive our sins and to come into our lives as
our Lord, or Master.
Romans 10:13
13) For whosoever shall call upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:9-10
9) That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10) For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
