About Us

Welcome to the Marble Hill Baptist Church home page. At MHBC “it is our vision to be individuals bonded together as a unified church family focused on the essential truth of the gospel to build the family of God.”

We accomplish this vision in four ways. First, we seek to grow in Christ through dynamic discipleship, powerful preaching, and shaping small groups. Second, we teach to build the family by teaching men to be responsible, women to be reverent, and children to be respectful. Third, we minister to change lives; we are one church, with one goal, to reach one soul. Last (and most important), we worship to connect with God. It is our desire to prevail with a sacrificial heart, pray with a contrite heart, and praise with a joyful heart.

If you are ever in the Friendsville community in the East Tennessee valley we would love to have you come and grow with us!!!

In CHRIST Alone,

Pastor Keith

Introduction

Marble Hill Baptist Church was founded in 1948 as a mission of Everett Hills Baptist Church of Maryville, TN.  We are a growing church founded on the Word and focused on the Cross.  We firmly believe in missions, as our church supports physically, financially, and spiritually several missions, both local and international.  We  are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Chilhowee Baptist Association Please pray for our church as we try to take up our cross and follow Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

How do people dress at MHBC?

MHBC does not have a specified dress code. On Sunday mornings we have some men that wear suits while others wear jeans, some women wear dresses or skirts, and others wear dress pants.

Sunday evenings are more casual. Men typically wear jeans or dress slacks, and most women do the same although a few wear dresses.

Wednesday evenings most everyone dresses casual.

Does MHBC have a preferred translation of scripture?

We typically use the KJV from the pulpit, and reference other translations from time to time for a more clear understanding. If someone prefers to reference a different translation, that is totally acceptable.

Can MHBC help me grow spiritually?

We provide classes and fellowship time for people of all ages. Please see our "Ministries" pages for more information.

What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings we have a children’s worship service for kids age 4 to the 5th grade. Special events are scheduled for these kids too.

We also have a music team “Praizin’-4-CHRIST” that performs periodically and does special programs seasonally.

For younger children we have an infant care room available if needed. Volunteers are happy to assist you.

What can I expect during worship?

Our worship style is very blended. In a typical service there is Southern Gospel, Traditional, and Contemporary music.

I would like to join MHBC!

If you are a Born-Again Christian and are interested in joining MHBC please indicate so on the fellowship pad. Our pastors will meet with you to discuss details and set up a date to announce it to the church. You will be required to attend a “New Member’s Class”.
